Thank you for visiting the website of the Government Quality Management Committee.

The GQMC has consistently performed its mandate since its creation in 2007 under Executive Order No. 605 to serve as the steering and policy-making body for the implementation of the Government Quality Management Program (GQMP).

Since the inception of the GQMP, the GQMC has issued the Government Quality Management System (QMS) Standards which is a QMS guidance document for the application of ISO 9001:2000 in public sector organization as translated into a language that is more user-friendly; provided technical guidance and/or financial assistance to certain agencies involved in business regulation or tourism on their establishment of a QMS certifiable to ISO 9001; and conducted four (4) GQMC Recognition Ceremonies (i.e., in 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2016) which have acknowledged agencies that have obtained ISO 9001 QMS Certifications.

Through this Program, the GQMC aims to promote and enhance public sector performance, through continual improvement of the way we do things in government.

By 2022, the GQMC would have set in place an integrated QMS in the bureaucracy and automated citizen and business satisfaction surveys; developed innovative projects that will address significant public service issues; and recognized agencies with best practices to further boost their drive to continually improve quality of their services and encourage other agencies to emulate them, among others.

Looking forward, the GQMC envisions to have all government entities ISO 9001 QMS-certified organization-wide to ensure that all elements of their management system are in sync and operate effectively towards the delivery of quality public service.
